![]() ![]() Still, it's a fun and challenging 25 hours so you will get your moneys' worth and you still can play on sandbox for 100 hours if it really clicks with you. And because the decisions aren't balanced (for instance, faith is easier than order) the game doesn't have as much replayability in my view. Once you figure out the formula the game gets a bit old because there's really no leeway in how to approach it - especially the first few (8-12) days you either you play the way the developers want you to or you die during that period. You will end up restarting multiple times in any given scenario because a simple misstep will cause the spiral of doom. It's a game of survival against the elements, with somewhat difficult (at least the first time) decisions to make regarding the way the colony will run. This game is far more challenging than either Dawn of Man or Banished. This is a game I do recommend but it's very different from Banished. NOT RECOMMENDEDįrostpunk is a different animal entirely and I'd pick this one over Dawn of Man. This is a game that some like myself will play 2-3 hours and become bored with a lack of interesting things to do while others might get 100 hours into it. ![]() I don't even really enjoy the creation of the village as it's just a collection of huts. ![]() Within a few hours you've seen all it's going to do and there's not enough there for me to want to continue to play. The building tree isn't very deep (in fact the game isn't very deep), the RTS functions feel bolted on, there are problems with AI (though it's gotten better) and the whole experience comes across as very "meh". Both are competent but neither is fun in my opinion. It's by the same developers who did Planetbase. Dawn of Man is closer to Banished but IMO kind of a boring game. ![]()
